Pimpi, un cucciolo di capriolo destinato a morire per abbandono, viene adottato dalla signora Rosa, una contadina che vive in una casa sulle colline di Acquasanta, un piccolo paese in provincia di Genova. Grazie alle amorevoli cure di Rosa, il cucciolo, all'inizio visibilmente deperito, nell'arco di pochi mesi cresce visibilmente e torna a vivere nel bosco.
Tra la donna e il timido animale si è instaurato un rapporto straordinario: " Al mattino e alla sera ( è Rosa a parlare ) lo vado a chiamare e lui arriva, beve il latte che gli ho preparato, sta un po' con me nel cortile e poi ritorna nel bosco."
Il filmato documenta uno dei tanti incontri, che si ripetono giornalmente ormai da alcuni mesi, tra la Rosa e Pimpi e fa vedere come il capriolo, nonostante sia cresciuto in cattività, abbia ritrovato il suo habitat naturale.
