In this video, I hike to photograph 'The Wave' in the Coyote Buttes North area, of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona. 'The Wave' is a highly sought after destination, that is only accessible via a permit. Demand for these coveted permits is high only 20 daily permits are issued and hundreds apply via the online and walkin lottery. If you manage to secure a permit, you will be treated to some of the most stunning landscapes in the American Southwest. I have been lucky enough to have won a permit multiple times all via attending the walkin lottery. So come with me, as I walk you through my thought process, with respect to determining optimal locations for well structured compositions and techniques to capture amazing images of this unique landscape.
