Partial transcript

On Motavia, in the year AW 2284, bounty hunter Chaz Ashley, has just been promoted from an apprentice to full partner by his mentor, Alys Brangwin. The two are requested to investigate an increase of dangerous biomonsters in Piata, the town of learning!

There, the pair meet Hahn Mahlay, a biology student at Piata Academy, who joins the team, for a fee! During the mission, Hahn divulges his encounters with a mysterious figure named Zio, who appears to know the lost art of black magic. Further investigation of Zio’s actions lead to Alys crossing paths with an old friend, Rune Walsh. The group in turn befriends a native Motavian, Gryz, who is on a mission of his own against Zio, to avenge his friends and family.

The quest takes a shocking turn when the source of the biomonster outbreak comes from the ruins of ancient civilization with advanced technology. Among the futuristic discoveries is Rika, a Numan she looks and acts human but also resembles an animal in certain ways. Rika tells Chaz and Alys that the biomonsters can be stopped if the ancient control systems are shut down.

Along the way, Alys and the rest find the town of Nalya, partially destroyed by something that fell from the sky. The object was part of a ship that was meant to escape Palma for Motavia 1,000 years ago, but got trapped in orbit and was forgotten over time. More of the lost history of Algol is learned here.

At the central system Nurvus, Demi, an android has been operating things here for centuries.

Before the system can be shut down, Zio appears once more, revealing more about his mission, to serve his god, The Dark Force. During the confrontation, Zio moves to kill Chaz with a wave of Dark Energy, only for Alys to jump in and protect him. Chaz and the rest escape.......
