DAYTONA BEACH BIKE WEEK 2020, COVID19 reaction... "SHUT DOWN all outdoor vendors"... that was the word that came down from the Daytona Beach Mayor Friday night as we attended Burning Bike. The Saturday Main Street experience was interesting, to say the least. This was March 14th and the pandemic hadn't quite exploded yet, so the response from the Bike Week 2020 attendees was one of "the show must go on". The outdoor bands and vendors had to cancel their plans for Saturday and Sunday, but that didn't stop all the brick and mortar bars and shops from business as usual. The indoor bands rocked... and Main Street Station even had some outdoor stuff going on. Defiance or loophole?? We never found out for sure... but enjoyed hanging out there, as we always do.
But before Main Street we took a lunch ride to New Smyrna Beach and Norwood's Restaurant... what a great stop.
