A few additional notes here... We happen to be in an overall quite fertile, temperate high water area of the world. The ideas shared in this video, I would really hope, could be taken and worked with in a context like ours as well as dry climates. When a heavy rain finally comes into a dry landscape, these techniques and approaches of helping water find more sinuous and meandering paths, following along a line of contour and soaking in as deeply as possible, are critical for slowing, soaking and spreading those precious and infrequent rains to sustain the deeper soil through drought.
I hope whatever context you are living in and whatever climactic challenges you are experiencing that these simple and highly accessible ways of working with water are useful to you. Please share in the comments your questions, your additional thoughts and your experiences so we can all learn!
