Here I show how I cut curved and twisted segments free hand on the band saw and get perfect glue joints.
After making a similar turning where I used my CNC I promised to show how I make them without any special machine or fixtures. No band saw sled or wedgie sled and no fixtures or jigs needed. Make the segment joint the way you choose.
