Annie loves cemeteries the names, dates, and type of burial sites all fascinate her. Who was this person? Why is their burial site fancy/not fancy? Why do some structures appear abandoned? We spent a fun and quiet afternoon strolling and exploring the grounds. There's an information center with maps and a legend of all the famous people buried in Père Lachaise cemetery Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Marceau, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison... there are too many to list. More than a million people are buried there, so walking the property will take an entire day if not more.
