Some 25 million years back in time, there lived a large bird that looked somewhat like a fighter plane! It was so large that it’s wings could spread meters apart! It’s fossils were discovered by construction workers digging on the ground in North Carolina. 
It glided over water waves to fish for it’s lunch!
