Eight weeks ago these young men fresh from civilian life arrived as trainees in the dead of night ready to embark on a journey to become airmen. But the moment they set foot onto JBSALackland (Joint Base San Antonio) they had to prove to themselves and to their tough no nonsense MTI that they belong.

That they have what it takes to be a part of the worlds greatest Air Force. Their motivation, inteligence, dedication, hard work, and determination will see them through graduation. And from there, enable them to achieve honor flight recognition as the best of the graduating flights.


MTI: TSgt EdRoy Robinson

If they get the honor flight that’s great but you actually end up with 59, 56 great Airmen in the Air Force that’s the most rewarding part of being an MTI.

Now that eight weeks of Tech Sergeant Robinsons tutelage is over Airman First Class Randal Marks (Flight 366, Lackland AFB MayJuly 2015)

I wanted to carry on that scene of pride and tradition and I wanted to serve my country and just very patriotic.

The life of an Air Force MTI is one lived with honor, integrity, and excellence. There job is one of the most important in the Air Force, preparing young men and women for military duty.

I will most definitely remember my MTIs they’re the greatest MTI anyone can ask for.
