This is the hardest video I've done, and yet is it part of the healing process. I've waited until we had confirmation that we will soon have a new four legged furry companion to help heal our hearts of this pain and loss. Murphy was an amazing dog, but he suffered so bad over the last bit. This is not unusual for the breed and something that has no cure just a matter of making the best of it over time. He was to the point he required nearly 24 hour care and had stopped drinking enough water to survive. He was not happy and clearly in pain and or discomfort. Walking/standing/eating/drinking/poop & pee was all a problem and getting worse. We counseled with our Vet to make a wise choice the week prior and then as he progressed we did what we could to check off a bucket list one last trip to the park, a last swim in the creek and his own sirloin steak! His last days were good as our hearts were breaking. Goodbye my buddy! You were the happiest hello and the hardest goodbye. We miss you!
