The whiterumped munia or whiterumped mannikin, sometimes called striated finch in aviculture, is a small passerine bird from the family of waxbill "finches". These are not close relatives of the true finches or true sparrows.
There are about 4 chicks in this nest. Mom stays with babies in the nest for a long time each time. Parent birds feed their babies by regurgitation food from their body.
