Introducing your puppy on the stacking box.
Hello show goers of all canine breeds! Today I’m training a puppy how to stack with one of my favorite tools. The Stacking box! Today I'll be working with 12weekold "Papa Pit Brick Top" and it’s her first time on the stacking box. How exciting! When training or working with you dog/puppy remember to patient, confident and firm but not over overpowering. If you’re to overpowering you will break the spirit of the puppy and if that happens, it is very difficult for the puppy to regain its confidence. If you feel your self becoming irritated or upset, it is time stop the training. Remember this should be fun. You and your dog should both enjoy this bonding time. I recommend ending a training session on a positive note. So the puppy knows it performed well, even if the training is only for a brief moment. As the puppy gains confidence and becomes more comfortable on the stacking box, then you can polish the placement of the front/rear paws. I would recommend doing this in front of a mirror or recording your self, for evaluation and progression of you and your puppy. Don't expect perfection immediately.
