Join us—Claire, Jake, and our trailloving pup Maya—as we set up camp on the beautiful crown land just beyond Mt. Panorama in the Kootenays, BC, where we plan to live out our dream of a cozy cabin life, just with wheels instead! ❄

Upon arrival, the icy conditions kept things chill, but soon enough, the skies blessed us with a heavy snowfall. Eager to make the most of it, we strapped on our skis and Maya’s harness for a backcountry adventure down a bike trail.

The next day, we were first in line for the Summit chair at Mount Panorama, scoring the best runs of the season in kneedeep powder. The next day we caught a ride on Panorama's 'Monster' snowcat, leading us to the Monster Bowl's epic backcountry terrain. We carved our way down the mountain, with Jake briefly parting ways with one of his skis, but the pow was nothing short of incredible!

To ease our aching muscles, we took a cold dip in the creek next to our campsite, a big contrast to the following day’s soak in the rejuvenating mineral waters of Radium Hot Springs. We then ventured into Invermere and glided across the world's longest ice trail on Windermere Lake.

Lastly, we swapped our skis for fat bikes, exploring Panorama’s nordic trails, before hitting the slopes one last time for some slushy fun and Jake’s ambitious 360 attempts.
