Ron Ananian The Car Doctor™ investigates a recurring P0440 fault code. The EVAP system on this 2007 Dodge Caravan will not pass a small leak test via the NVLD pump (Natural Vacuum Leak Detection). Ron uses a wiring diagram to demonstrate the expected 5 volt signal coming out of the NVLD to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and discovers a hole in the violet/white (VT/WT) wiring. To make matters worse, Ron finds a butchered wiring job from an unknown previous repair.
