We really loved our first day of Raya, as foreigners we didn't know what to expect at our first ever tibatiba Raya, but it was such a memorable experience for us. Big shoutout to everyone who stayed up all night preparing the rendang (YUUM!) and lemang, and all the other Raya treats and Malaysian food. Our Abang Ajib and his lovely wife Nur took great care of us, and we met so many friendly people along the way. We even picked up some Duit Raya!

Obviously, Raya came earlier than expected this year, but lucky for us we "Balik Kampung" a day early, so we were lucky to be as prepared as we could be. Abang Ajib still had to stay up all night to get everything ready, and for that we are very grateful for him.

Steve ate so much rendang that he fell asleep on the floor at 6pm! LOL! We think that means Raya was a success of course when you pair that with all the great memories of friendly people we met! Big shoutout to Malaysians for being so friendly and hospitable.
