Outdoor Faucet Repair from Freezing

In collaboration with David from Galipp's Gadgets we're showing you how to repair an outdoor faucet that was damaged from freezing.

Remember when freezing weather approaches, it's time to disconnect those hoses and place outdoor covers and freeze caps on all outdoor faucets. If you leave your garden hose attached (even in Texas) you're asking for trouble.

If you live in an area that requires antisiphon or vacuum breaker connectors (aka backflow preventers) on your outdoor faucets, it's also a good idea to remove them in the fall when winterizing your home. If it can't be removed then it's a good idea to make sure it's allowed all the water to drain from the line.
