I can not believe we are actually in Madagascar. We've been looking forward to this country for a very long time and it did not disappoint.

As soon as we arrived in Antananarivo, or as locals call it "Tana" we were in awe of what a unique and special place this is. We took a 5 hour, super bumpy car ride to Andasibe to get into the jungle. We stayed at Mantadia Lodge. https://mantadialodge.com/ In Madagascar you do mostly walking safaris (very different from mainland Africa!) and we were on the lookout for lemurs (114 different species!), chameleons, and other unique animals endemic to Madagascar.
