We start our Italian adventures by visiting one of the most amazing places in Rome, The Vatican. In addition to the beautiful art within St. Peters Basilica, we also spend several hours exploring all the art at the Vatican Museum. Terry takes on his own challenge by climbing to the top of St. Peters Dome where he gets the best aireal views of Rome. We also take a midmorning break and have a typical Italian breakfast at a local patisserie (aka bakery). If our first adventure in Rome is any indication of what we have to look forward to in our upcoming adventures, then I believe we are going to have some amazing times here in the Eternal City!!
