We have an albino raccoon in our area that started coming to our porch, making a mess of our barn cat's water dish and probably looking for food. Our cat, Phoebe, has multiple safe places she can stay warm (and hide), including the little house we put on the porch. We also added a second cat door on the end so she has a "bolt hole" in case another cat or animal were to try to go into her house. Because of the raccoon being noisy and waking me up one night, I put our game camera on the porch to see if I could get footage. Not only did I get footage, I got this clip of Phoebe essentially telling the raccoon to get the hell off her porch! LOL Rest assured, there was lots more footage immediately after this of Phoebe walking around, stretching, drinking from her water bowl, and coming back from a hunt with a mouse about an hour later. I checked her thoroughly the next morning and she was fine. Also, the raccoon hasn't been back. Also for what it's worth, anyone thinking we're cruel to leave our cat outside and we should bring her in she's a barn cat that came with the house when we bought it. She will NOT use a litter box (we've tried), she loves to roll in the dirt/mud, hunt, and roam. She would be miserable inside and is super careful (skittish when she sees other animals, large birds, etc.) She's also a cuddly sweetheart and gets lots of attention from us.
