There are stigmas surrounding OCD and other mental ailments. Mikayla wants to eliminate these stigmas and prove that there is nothing to be ashamed about. She shares her story with OCD and encourages others with similar issues to speak up and get help.

Mikayla Davic is a freshman at Baldwin High School. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania along with her four siblings. She loves to write, act, and read. She has written and directed two musicals in the past two years, raising over $16,000 for MakeAWish® and plans to continue to write and direct a show each year until she graduates with a goal of over $50,000 raised. She wants a career in the film industry as a screenwriter, director, and actress. Her top college choices include New York University, University of California Los Angeles, and University of Southern California.
