Out of the many adventures one can have in Orlando, I choose the off the beaten path things to do. My journey begins at the Orlando World Center Marriott, home to the biggest most amazing pool I’ve ever seen. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that mermaid classes are offered through the Mermaid Academy, poolside.

The real adventure begins at the Paddling Center at Shingle Creek, which is a quick drive from the hotel. Lined with Cypress trees and the beautiful sounds of nature, it was the perfect setting for a relaxing kayak experience.

I end my time in Orlando shopping at Artegon Marketplace. This is mall filled with local artisans who are passionate about their work and products. My highlight was being able to ride on a cute stuffed mechanical animal as I peruse the shops.
