Joe the Orangutan baby, looked after by his grandma Jazz since birth, but today Sprout the natural mother and daughter to Jazz is taking over for a bit.
Orangutan female Sprout pulls her son towards her. Joe nibbles her nose. She gently bites his hand. Joe grabs onto his mother's hair and when they move he playfully bites her back. Sprout is still a bit clumsy in how she handles Joe. Holding him by his face, but Jazz is always there to keep an eye out. Joe tries climbing away, but she holds his leg. Joe stays still until their halfbrothers join them. The boys get all tangled up in the netting. As Joe climbs away. Jim stays close to Sprout. Some sweet interaction with the two playfully biting each other. Just look at those big white teeth. As Jim's hair isn't already cute enough, his teeth make him even cuter. Both the boys are so playful now, they hardly stop. No wonder Jazz needs a break and it's nice to see Sprout spending time with the boys. Jim climbs down and purposely lets himself fall holding on to the rope below and then Jazz is there to take her son.

Orangutan Mother Jazz (30) from the Dudley zoo became super mum as she's not just looking after her own baby boy Jim born (born 25th of June 2022), now she's looking after her daughter's newborn baby Joe (born 23rd July 2022) as well, as her daughter found firsttime motherhood a little bit challenging. When her daughter Sprout gave birth she walked away and left the baby on the floor. Mother Jazz picked the baby up straight away. Jazz is nursing both and giving both love, care and attention.
Flanged Orangutan male Djimat is the dad of both babies.
