Hellas Construction installed a Matrix Helix® synthetic turf system at Lutheran High School's multipurpose field in Orange, California. Hellas also installed a pavedinplace shock pad known as a Cushdrain® that helps to prevent athlete injuries caused by hard impact with the playing surface. The Cushdrain allows for better drainage, which has kept the fields dry and available for play during the recent heavy rainfall in California.
The Lancers have had “zero impact injuries on the Hellas turf system”, according to Lutheran Boys Head Soccer Coach Mike Oseguera. “Pro players say play on the pitch is fantastic as well,” according to Oseguera, who is also the Director of Soccer Operations and Athletic Director of Admissions at Orange Lutheran.
