Abstract
Advanced engineering and technology programs are under constant pressure to continually evolve and engage students. The MEMS (microsystems) industry continues to grow at a rapid rate, 1015% CAGR, fueling a demand for additional technicians and engineers. Developing new curricula to support these emerging technologies is timeconsuming and costly. The Support Center from Microsystems Education (SCME), a National Science Foundationfunded Advanced Technological Education Center, provides online curriculum including a new series of six short courses on MEMS fabrication. The courses allow professionals entering the field of Microsystems (MEMS) an efficient means gaining the essential knowledge and understanding of how MEMS are made. Educators can leverage these courses to enhance their courses in emerging technology, manufacturing and core engineering courses. These are provided at no cost to the user, are asynchronous and original documents, PowerPoints, videos are also available for modification and integration into the users’ platforms.
