One-week construction time-lapse with closeups: Week 37 of the Ⓢ-series

Follow
Hospital Construction

Week 37 in the ongoing Ⓢ series, which follows the construction of a new 13story senior living building in San Francisco. This is a #construction #timelapse with various closeups and "subtimelapses" at various speeds, condensing the week of October 12 17, 2020, into about 59 minutes.

A slightly shorter week as there was no work on Saturday, but still plenty of stuff to see in this episode. This is another one that I just liked the overall look and feel, if I do say so myself. There's a good amount of work on the precast #curtainwall panels this week, most of it late in the day at dusk and in the dark, which presents a challenge in terms lighting. Reflections are also a problem, with some weird reflections showing up here and there. The work is just starting to get to a high enough elevation that we can start to see some of the work inside. More of that to come in future episodes.

After the episode was all done and ready, I discovered that I forgot and left out one segment, d'oh! So I tacked it on the end as a "bonus". Ideally, to do the best job, I would really need at least 23 weeks to lay out and edit these episodes. But then I'd be getting farther and farther behind. So, I squeeze the process into one week, which inevitably leads to occasional mistakes like this, and places where I could probably do better if I had more time. Oh well, c'est la vie. Hope you enjoy the episode!

Regular viewers may notice that the weather is much warmer this week than in most past weeks. That's because the SeptemberOctober period is typically the closest thing San Francisco has to a classic "summer", as that period tends to be the warmest and have the least amount of fog.
