When taking a cruise and calling the DR this is a must for anyone that loves sea life . This excursion can be accessed both by docking at Amber Cove (Carnival) or Puerto Plata’s east end dock (NCL, MSC and other lines ) we recommend doing this day trip out to Ocean World adventure park as you really can do so much all under one roof.
Visitors who dream of swimming with dolphins can fulfill their wish at Ocean World Adventure Park. Aside from dolphins, children and adults can enjoy a multitude of marine experiences, from shows with sea lions and nurse sharks to an exotic bird area that’s just so much fun . Our favorite was snorkeling in the artificial coral reef aquarium that was filled with hundreds of tropical fish.

Looking for more adventures with the family , try the giant slide that throws you into the artificial swimming lagoon. This excursion can be purchased outside of the cruise lines but we always recommend taking your excursions through the cruise lines. Yes it might be a little bit more expensive to book directly with the cruise line however remember when booking through the cruise lines the ship will always wait for you in the event there is an issue with the bus transfer to the excursion. In the event you do choose to book outside of the lines keep in mind that you take all the risk in the event the bus or taxi should have a mechanical failure, the ship will not wait for you and a flight home could be $$.
