The president of the Registered Nurses’ Union of Newfoundland and Labrador says the provincial government’s $22million deal with a private company to provide a phone or video call for medical services is not reassuring for a strong publiclyfunded healthcare system. Yvette Coffey says it should be considered a stop gap measure, which is in stark contrast to the government's message that virtual care is part of the future of medicine.
