===============================================
A strong, muscular cat, the Norwegian Forest Cat is also a loving companion and appreciates the praise of parents.
The gentle and friendly Norwegian Forest Cat—Wegie, for short—is fond of family members but does not demand constant attention and petting. He is satisfied to be in the same room with people and will entertain himself if no one is home. Although he appreciates the human company, he can be a bit reserved with visitors. Even with family, he’s not much of a lap cat, but a nice scritch between the ears or beneath the chin is always welcome, and he’ll usually reciprocate with a nice head butt or cheek rub.
He communicates with classic Scandinavian restraint. His quiet voice is employed only when he needs something—dinner on time, perhaps—and rises only if he is ignored. Not surprisingly, this large and athletic cat is a climber. You will often find him at the highest point he can reach in the home, and unlike some cats, he doesn’t have any qualms about descending trees or other heights headfirst. Thanks to his heritage as a wilderness and farm cat, not to mention his waterproof coat, the Wegie thinks nothing of fishing in a body of water for a nice meal. Aquarium and koi pond denizens, beware!
While he loves the outdoors, he is content to live quietly in a home. This is a smart, independent cat who learns quickly and has an alert nature. He likes to play and thrives with a busy family that loves him. If you're planning to have these strong, muscular, but loving felines, you can get one of them from these reputable Norwegian Forest breeders.
Guysndolls Norwegian Forest Cats.
They have been breeding and showing Ragdolls for many many years now, never ever thinking that they would ever own another breed other than the Ragdoll, as they were their ultimate passion until they were introduced to the Norwegian Forest Cat. They watched these cats on the show bench for a few years, having the occasional cuddle, but mostly observing with great interest their natures and beauty, captured their heart little by little until one day they decided that they had to have their very own Norwegian Forest Cat.
Then came the search of course for the right breeder, to get everything that was the Norwegian Forest Cat, not only all the things they should have for breeding and the show bench, but also for that wonderful and very infectious nature, which was what captured them. So they contacted their dear friend in Japan, who very kindly helped them to find the wonderful breeder that they adopted their very first Norwegian baby girl from their beautiful girl FANTARJA DREAM GIRL. DREAM arrived and they were besotted from the time she stepped out of her carry cage at the airport, onto their lap, and from there end of the story, they were totally 'IN LOVE'.
There are not a lot of breeders of the Norwegian Forest Cat in Australia and New Zealand, so as suggested by their wonderful mentor, They are now in the process of adopting totally new European Lines into Australia, thanks to some wonderful breeders that have agreed and are allowing them to bring their wonderful lines and their precious babies there to live with them and be a very special part of their family. They feel truly blessed and cannot thank them enough for entrusting them with their precious little treasures.
They are a registered breeder with the Cats Queensland Inc, Membership number 327, and they also show their babies regularly, doing very well with them on the show bench, this not only helps to know that they are breeding quality cats but also shows the wonderful temperaments of their cats, not only to the judges that judge them but also to everyone that goes to see them at the shows. Their Norwegian Forest Cats are from wonderful quality Imported European Lines, and their babies are all registered with papers, vet checked, desexed, microchipped, litter trained, and raised in their home, with them.
