We look back a trip we did a few years ago, in the north western part of Australia. The distances between town are vast, over 400km but there are some fantastic place to visit. The daytime temperature were in the high 30Deg C, and there were not that many people around. We visited a lot of the national parks in the area, often having the campground to ourselves.


We get to sail on the inland sea that is Lake Argyle, and swim in the middle of the lake.

We have Cathedral Gorge in the Bungle Bungles all to ourselves

and we get to use our canoe around Lake Kununurra

We were able to create some unique photographs in this remote landscape. We had to modify them for YouTube, but the real versions are on my OnlyFans page.

It was not smooth sailing all the way, we lost two of our tyres on this trip, and we ended up replacing all of them. It turns out they were old stock when we bought them, and it had taken 6 years to build the truck, so two of the tyres were 10 years old at this stage. They both failed with small cracks in the sidewall due to old age and high temperatures. Lesson No.1 don't use tyres that are over 10 years old, no matter if they were always stored inside or not.
