Hello, I'm Casayun.
As the first recipe for the new year of 2023, I would like to share my whole wheat French roll that many people have requested!
Although it is whole wheat, the texture is softer than normal white bread, and the flavor is so amazing!
Anyone can make it very easily without hand kneading process.

Whole Wheat French Rolls
6 servings
Allpurpose flour 210g
Whole wheat flour 110g
Instant dry yeast 5g (1 tsp)
Salt 5g (1 tsp)
Honey 30g (1.5 Tbsp)
Lukewarm water 210ml


1. Add all dry ingredients to a clean bowl and mix lightly. Add honey to lukewarm water, mix and add to the bowl.
2. When the dough comes together, cover the top and let it rest for at least 1824 hours at room temperature. (Room temperature is about 2324 degrees, I put it in an oven with the lights off for 24 hours.)
3. Transfer the dough to a floured workbench and divide into 6 portions. Shape it into a round ball and wait for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, shape it into an oval shape and place it on the pan.
4. Cover the top and let it rest for about 1 hour to 1.5 hours in a warm place until the dough doubles. (The time may vary depending on the temperature of the working environment.)
5. Before baking, score the surface on the dough and bake in an oven preheated to 230 degrees for about 15 minutes. (If your oven has a steam function, turn it on while baking.)
