The McDonalds cup and tortilla bag were sterilized in a crock pot slow cooker for 4 hours. Sous vide cooking made me realize pasteurization/sterilization can be achieved at low temperatures provided they are cooked for longer times.

I started a series called Stupid Simple Mushroom Tek, or something to that effect. The purpose of the experiment: to prove anyone with a stove, spores/liquid culture, some grains, rice, pasta, etc. Can grow mushrooms without purchasing a pressure cooker or uncle Ben’s rice for Ben’s Tek.

Honestly, I think my methods are easier than even PF Tek. But that’s just me.
