Holy smoke!! This is the type of recipe you find in church cookbooks that stand the test of time.

Follow along with me till the end this one is off the charts good!!

This is a light refreshing dessert that is simple to make.

1 cup allpurpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Or 1 cup self rising flour

1 stick butter (1/2 cup)

1 cup pecans chopped divided I always roast my nuts

1 cup powdered sugar

8oz cream cheese, room temperature

16oz cool whip

1 3.4oz instant vanilla pudding

2 2/3 cup milk


1. Preheat oven to 375°
2. Grease 8x11 baking dish
3. Melt 1 stick of butter in 8x13 dish in oven while heating up oven
4. Remove dish of melted butter, stir in flour mixture into a dough and press out to cover bottom of dish, press 1/2 pecans into dough and bake at 375 for 15 minutes
5. Add 8oz cream cheese, 1 cup powered sugar and 1 cup cool whip to mixing bowl and whip with mixer. Add mixture to baked crust and spread evenly.
6. Add vanilla pudding to mixing bowl, add milk mix till combined and add on top of the cream cheese mixture and spread evenly.
7. Add cool whip, then top with remaining 1/2 of pecans .
8. Refrigerate for 2 hrs or overnight
