Blackfork Gravel Grinder is always a fun, beautiful but super tough day on the bicycles. This year it was 58 miles with 5800 feet of elevation on the steep, loose gravel roads in Mohican, near Loudonville, OH. This is some real deal gravel riding and it brought out 850 riders some trying to win money, others trying to survive. I rode my Gunnar RockTour Adventure as I am more comfortable having the wider tires and bike position with it than I am with the slight speed advantage I may gain on the flats and rollers with my drop bar Raleigh Tamland 2.
