Scooter rental companies are now flashing their speed controllers with propriety firmware as an anti hacking measure. For scooter hacking enthusiasts, this often means the scooter won't turn on, the scooter applies the brakes when you try to push it forward, or the scooter displays error 10 or 35, or an undefined error.
