My friend found a newborn kitten, and brought it to me.
Poor little bay was near dead when I got him, cold as ice and covered in mud and rubble.
I got him cleaned up, warmed up and fed.
Hes now on day 2 and doing very well.
**Update.
Unfortunately, this little boy caught a nasty infection, I noticed at his noon time feeding that his anus looked a bit raw and red, I put ointment on it and put him down for 2 hours.
When I got him up again at 2Pm he was lethargic and wouldn't eat; so I layed down and watched TV with him on my chest.
I picked him up to look @ him a half hour later and there was blood coming out of his genitals and anus.
I rushed him to the emergency vet, and they put him on an antibiotic.
Held him for about another 3 hours and then he passed.
Moral of the story is that these kittens pass unexpectedly; and there's usually nothing you can do about it.
Don't feel too bad if a kitten that you are surrogating passes on you. The mortality rate is quite high for these poor little guys.
All you can do is your best.
