After using only these 12 watercolours for a month, I share some of my thoughts and sketches in this video. Hope it helps in some way if you are considering it.

This is a well thought through palette. For a workable Urban Sketching palette, the greens and earths are key for me. From the selection of the convenience greens and the variety of greens that can be produced, you can tell it's carefully designed. The 4 earth colours are very balanced and each is beautiful to use in its own right. The Buff Titanium is rather new to me and arguably the only colour I wouldn’t have included in my own palette.

The palette allows a further 6 to be added to fine tune to your needs. To customise my own, I would add Goethite, Mars Black and a few varieties of convenience shadows. Przybysz’s Grey will definitely be one of them. There is a primary triad present for all your mixing needs (Quinophthalone Yellow, Quinacridone Magenta and Ultramarine Intense). As I personally prefer the power of a CMY triad, I would add Phthalo Blue GS.

The paints are richly pigmented with high lightfast properties, easy to rewet, lay down smoothly and are predictable and behaves as expected in wet work.

Overall, it’s a practical little palette and is reasonably priced. This could be a very good startup palette for any genre.
