I was lucky enough to attend the launch event for the Summer Fridays dream lip oils so I have all four shades to review for you! (They didnât invite me, I was someoneâs +1 lol.)
These are more like a lip serum than a lip oil, which I really like. They have a touch of a cushiony quality to them and a buttery smooth slip that makes them feel very lightweight and nonsticky.
Theyâre fragrance free but have a very small amount of menthol for a subtle cooling effect. I hate menthol in lip prices and I can barely feel it in these so it doesnât bother me or dry my lips out at all.
Pink Cloud is the most sheer, it barely shows up at all, while Soft Mauve, Blush Dreams, and Rosewood Nights have slightly more pigmented, so I prefer them.
Lets compare these to other popular lip oils:
Dior these are much more slippery and have a bit of cushion. Dior is more like a lip gloss meets lip oil.
Saie the Saie ones are thicker and have more cushion, but strangely feel more oily and slippery on my lips. I also donât like the Saie glossy bounce because of the strong castor oil smell
Merit the merit shade slick lip oils are one of my least families products because of the small pointy applicator and the extremely thin and slippery formula. These are a bit more plush and the colors are more opaque to me. Merit shades are more like a popsicle flush if that makes sense.
Innbeauty same as Dior. The Innbeauty are more like a lip gloss meets lip oil. Not much cushion, more sticky and long lasting.
Overall, are these my favorite product ever? No. I prefer a lip product thatâs thick and a little sticky so itâs long lasting and provides more of a glasslike, smoothing shine. But if you love lightweight, slightly slippery lip products and you donât mind reapplying, these are beautiful and I prefer them to a lot of other âlip oilâ formulas.
Theyâre $26 and come in four shades
Currently sold out on Sephora but you can get them on the Summer Fridays website: https://rstyle.me/+7EE6YxaUxwbLM8APv...
