Let me take you on a full tour and test drive in the New SCANIA R 540. This is the latest addition to the 13 litre 6 cylinder diesel lineup with 2,700 Nm.
So the question is with the R 540 & R 520 V8 now both having the same torque output, would you still pay the extra money for the heavier V8?
There are now five 13 litre diesel engines to choose from, 370hp, 410hp, 450hp, 500hp, 540hp.
There's also Gas, Ethanol, HVO ( Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) & BioDiesel options available using the 13 litre 6 cylinder engine.
