New Power catamaran hits the water

Finally, after a 2 year build in Pattaya, SE Thailand, our new Longreach 58 power catamaran is ready to hit the water. It's carefully pushed out of the factory on castor wheels by lots of helpers. The local Thai workers insisted on a religious ceremony to protect the boat and those in her. Photos were taken and the builder James Dewing from Powerplay Catamarans and the agent Andrew McLeod from Multihull Central had some words for the important occasion. When the boat is out of the shed sufficiently, the Travellift picks it up and slowly lifts it and then carries it along the road to the marina where its again very carefully manoevred into the water.
The next day we took it to the fuel dock and fueled up and then headed out for some fun. Our first night was on the west of the island of Ko Larn, just west of Pattaya. Then we headed further west to another island Ko Phai to get protection from the northerly wind in the southern bay. Its got a white sandy beach with clear blue water, perfect for swimming and kayaking and relaxing. We unloaded our kayaks from the toy storage on the rear flybridge, using our Davco hydraulic crane and enjoyed the new version of the Hobies they now have reverse and better adjustments to the length of the pedals.
