New Mexico: One Day in Albuquerque, NM | International Balloon Fiesta, Sandia Crest, & MORE!

For state #41 on our journey to all 50 states in 2021 we made our way to New Mexico! For our time in the Land of Enchantment, we spent one day exploring the state’s largest city, Albuquerque, but we didn’t just explore the city! A large part of our visit revolved around the city's iconic Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The Balloon Fiesta is a nineday event held in the first full week of October that hosts over 500 hot air balloons from around the globe making it the largest hot air balloon festival in the world! But our adventures didn’t end there! In addition to the Balloon Fiesta, we also got to check out the Albuquerque Old Town as well as Sandia Crest… A 10,679 ft. peak that looks westward over the city, making it an amazing place to catch a beautiful New Mexico sunset!
