DonnaJean Wilde (Canada) was a teacher for many years at Magrath Elementary and Magrath High School. She also served as Vice Principal at the High School before recently retiring. 12 years ago she fell and broke her wrist and was not able to run or weight train with a cast. She found that she could plank and started to practice, and, after a few weeks, her plank time rapidly increased. Therefore, planking has been part of her regular fitness plan. She planks for 23 hours everyday as regular daily exercise.

On the day of her attempt, her family members, including daughters and sons and their spouses, and 12 grandchildren aged from 1 to 12, came together to encourage her. DonnaJean’s husband, Randy, was the main organizer and supporter of this attempt, keeping the supporters engaged and spirits high.
