On Sol 43 (April 4) Perseverance Rover sent new Images showing the Mars Helicopter finally on the Martian soil, confirming the touchdown.

This was after the rover finished charging it up to 100%.
Now NASA is waiting to see if the craft can survive surface temperatures down to 130ºF (90ºC) on its own. The charge will help to power the helicopter heater so that it protects key components such as the battery and some of the sensitive electronics from harm at very cold temperatures.

The team will check the temperatures and the battery recharge performance over the next couple of days. If it all looks good, then it's onto the next steps: unlocking the rotor blades, and testing out all the motors and sensors.
