Ginger is a typical Hungarian Vizsla and will follow me around every second of the day like my shadow. Birdy, my other Vizsla is happy patrolling the orange grove day and night on high alert for orange thieves and ready to bark at any passer by looking in her direction.

I was attempting to get a shot of Bernie my Renault 4GTL, looking rather fabulous with his new coat of wax. But after 5 minutes of faffing around with my camera, I didn’t have one good shot but Ginger and I enjoyed a moment with Bernie (until I stepped on her paw she’s fine!).

Hungarian Vizsla are known as Velcro dogs as they stick to their owners. Ginger takes it to another level and must within a few inches of me at all times. I am never alone.

In other news the migrating birds are arriving along the coast in their thousands on their way north through Europe to breed. Have you seen a swallow yet this year? I’d love to know how far north they’ve made it so far.
