The Holy Spirit is a person. He’s not an “influence.” He has all of the attributes of personality. He has intellect. He has emotions. He has a will.

He also has all of the attributes of deity. He is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent.

And for those who have believed in Jesus Christ, He is in them and beside them as a Helper, Comforter and Teacher.

So if we let the Spirit have His way, He’ll consume everything in our lives that isn’t holy. He will purify us.
