The shark has long held an important place in our imaginations.
In the West, they are often considered evil. A sea monster capable of devouring us, it inspires a visceral, irrational fear... In the East, the place given to them seems very different. There, the view is less uniform. Dreaded or adored, sometimes both, he embodies the forces of nature, the spirit of the ancestors...Creator or destroyer, he's a god... Why this difference?
