I'm down in Bank street/Chapel Lane having a wee dander round.
This is the historic Kelly's Cellars pub in the square. Opened for business in 1720 ranks it one of the oldest such drinking establishments in Belfast. Many of the original features have been retained. In the 1790s it was a known meeting place for members of the United Irishmen. Today it provides a variety of alcoholic beverages and traditional Irish music sessions.
Kelly's Cellars remains resolutely oldfashioned, with vaulted ceiling and elbowworn bar and is crammed with bricabrac. Step back in time and check it out.
