From 2012 to 2018 our company installed hundreds of Schluter Kerdi showers. We stopped doing them, based in part on my test results that showed that if left submerged for a period of time it would leak. But I have found that although it leaks when submerged for several days, it does not leak when the shower is allowed to dry in between uses.
We have three bathrooms done in our home that were all done using Schluter Kerdi products for waterproofing. One bathroom was completed in 2014, the other in 2015, and the last one in 2018.
