Twentyfouryearold Sarah Holten has been unable to communicate due to Rett Syndrome… a neurological condition affecting 1 in 12,000 girls. Until recently it was assumed sufferers lacked cognitive function, but Sarah’s Mum knew her daughter was conscious. Through tireless advocacy, Sarah got an eyegaze communication device, and is helping others get the same… like fouryearold Kendyll who was diagnosed last year.
