My Mom's Almost Instant Soup

This Chineseinspired Japanese Soup is increcibly easy to make. Japanesestyle Chinese restaurants in Japan used to serve this style of soup, but they are getting more rare these days. This soup pairs with any type of meal, but it's especially great with fried rice or fried noodles.

INGREDIENTS: (3 servings)
500 ml water
15cc soy sauce
3cc vinegar
8 gram oyster sauce
1 tsp shantan instant soup
lard to taste
white pepper to taste
chopped negi or green onions

DIRECTIONS:
Chop negi or green onions for later. Add in all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add in lard and cook until lard has melted. Transfer soup to bowls and serve with chopped negi.
