Recently I passed my Boeing 737 type rating skill test and today is a very special day. I'll be flying the Base training at Shannon (EINN/SNN) airport in Ireland my first time at the controls of the real aircraft. The plan is to perform 5 touch and goes, one go around and a full stop landing under the supervision of an experienced captain and safety pilot. It's quite a surreal feeling sitting in the right seat rolling onto the runway for the first time but I was mainly really excited to finally be able to fullfill my dream. Many hours of studying and lots of simulator sessions have all led to this moment. After a short wait we received our take off clearance and "I have control".

The 737 handles beautifully, I really enjoyed my time at the controls it's a very rewarding aircraft to fly. But that's it for now, next up is flying with passengers during line training, see you on board!
